He has been involved in the design, set up and execution of the South Africa Future Trust (Covid 19 SMME support), ongoing South African conservation research (Tswalu Foundation) and medical research (Glioblastoma research). Further to these personal interests, Samuel is also actively involved in wider philanthropy of Nicky Oppenheimer’s family.
Samuel graduated with a MSci First in Physics at Oxford University and has worked for Strategy Consulting Firm BCG in Lagos (Nigeria). Since then, Samuel has been working as Head of Strategy and Business Development for an African Start-Up in B2B e-commerce. He spends most of his time in Johannesburg. Further, Samuel is active as both a philanthropist and a capital provider to non-profit causes across multiple sectors.
